Korean handset giant launches store in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
Reports say LG will provide 1,400 applications including 100 free product in 15 languages at launch. There will be 2,000 applications by the time it hits Europe towards the end of the year.
The launch brings LG closer to Apple, Nokia, RIM and Android in running a fully-fledged app store of its own.
Previously, LG's content play was a modestly sized WAP destination called Wow.
LG has not set any firm plan to launch the marketplace in the US.
