Only 533 units are left to ship. While the Asian, South American and Australian orders continued to ship, the European shipments had to be stalled in order to meet the CE requirements. We are happy to inform that they now meet all the necessary norms and shipments will be resumed.
A shortened version of the Quick Start Guide (English and German) will be included with all the units shipped from now on, along with the CE letter of conformity.
A number of concerns was raised over the recent supply of GCW Zero units being available via ThinkGeek reseller, before the KS units reaching European customers.
We would like to emphasize that we originally planned to be done with all Kickstarter orders before ThinkGeek received their shipment at 27th November.
Unfortunately the issues with the European customs set us back, while the shipment to ThinkGeek was already in progress.

via http://boards.openpandora.org/topic/...a-is-not-dead/
Just thought I'd make a quick news post here in the official news section, as Craigs downfall of OpenPandora Ltd. is currently going through the news and to his remaining customers.
One important thing upfront:
OpenPandora Ltd. in UK is NOT OpenPandora GmbH in Germany
I am the owner of OpenPandora GmbH in Germany, and that company does not have ANY money issues or similar. All of my preorder customers have received their units quite a while ago and production is still running strong (though we're currently out of units until the next batch in December arrives).
And yes, a successor of the Pandora is being planned. And no, I cannot tell you when it will be ready (probably 2 months™ )
What does that mean for still waiting customer of OpenPandora Ltd.?
Not much. OP Ltd. has been unable to pay refunds for quite a while now.
The reason we created the survey was that OpenPandora GmbH and the community can help Craigs remaining preorders, regardless what happens with OpenPandora Ltd.
You will still be able to get the Pandora for a discounted price or with the help of the community donations.
BTW: My shop is now also accepting Bitcoins, and as they have risen significantly in value lately, it's a good way to get your upgrade in case you had bitcoins lying around for a while now.
So:
As long as there are Pandoras available, everyone of Craigs remaining customer can get them for production cost or lower (with community donations).
Well... that does lead us to another question:
When will the Pandora REALLY be dead?
We've only got a limited amount of parts, and some are already end of life so we can't buy anymore.
The production of the final Pandora batch has been started. There will be 500 more 1GHz and 150 more Rebirth units.
Well... and that's that. There will be a few more classics, but after that, production will most probably stop (unless we get a huge demand so it makes sense to change the PCB design to replace a few end-of-life parts...)
When all Pandoras have been sold - what happens to the remaining preorders?
No worries, the money will STILL not be lost.
Hopefully, most of the remaining Pandoras will go to Craigs remaining customers, but you never know.
In case there still are some left, then I'll move that discount over to the successor... even though I cannot tell you when it will be released.

ReGBA by Nebuleon is a Game Boy Advance emulator based ultimately on gpSP 0.9 by Exophase. You can also submit patches on GitHub.
Changes:
* Per-game settings. You can press Select in the menu and you can edit settings that are applied to only the currently-loaded game. For example, you may want to start only some games from the BIOS for compatibility (e.g. Sonic Advances) but start the rest from the cartridge, or full-screen most games and leave a few at the original pixels due to being text-heavy.
* Settings files are saved only when changing the settings inside a submenu. This causes fewer erase cycles to be used up on the internal flash storage of the GCW Zero and the Dingoo A320.
* A manual. You can see this manual on your GCW Zero by pressing Select on ReGBA in gmenu2x and activating the “Show manual of ReGBA” option. This manual is also on the GCW Zero Community Wiki: see ReGBA.
* A bug that caused a crash when entering the Display Settings menu on the Dingoo A320 has been fixed.
* When opposing directions of the GBA d-pad would both be pressed — that is, both Left and Right, or both Up and Down, whether by the GCW Zero’s d-pad or its analog nub –, Left and Up are ignored, respectively.
* Add a version information screen in the Main Menu’s Performance and Debugging submenu.

We are pleased to hear that with every hour passing more and more units sent to the USA and Canada get into the hands of their happy owners. With a growing community we hope to see an increase in the number of contributors to this open source project.
Not all went perfectly however. Due to our past issues with the fulfillment company, a number of units we have shipped this past month might have been mistakenly sent to customers who already received their consoles before.
Please get in touch with Justin Barwick via contact@gcw-zero.com if you mistakenly received your pledge rewards a second time. Arrangements will be made to return it and a mailing label will be provided at no cost to return it.
This should not impact the still pending shipments.

We are glad to announce that all of the pledges within the United States and Canada have shipped as of yesterday.
The United States shipments are being handled via FedEx SmartPost, while Canadian packages are being shipped via USPS Priority International Mail. If you live in the United States, you should have received the tracking number in an e-mail from FedEx. In Canada, you should have received an e-mail from Stamps.com
Furthermore, all outstanding European and other overseas orders are packed and ready to ship. We are working towards having a declaration of conformity and all required documents in each package. This is a requirement for some European countries, like Germany, as reported by our Kickstarter backers.
For any questions or concerns about the shipment of your device, pledge rewards, please send an e-mail to contact@gcw-zero.com or write a private message to Justin Barwick on Kickstarter.
Finally, do not hesitate to join the IRC room (http://www.gcw-zero.com/irc) for real-time help with other enthusiasts and developers, or just for a nice chat.
For warranty service or replacement parts please send an e-mail to repairs.gcw@gmail.com
We should start shipping any requested replacement parts later this week and start making RMA's for repairs on December 1st, 2013.

ReGBA by Nebuleon is a Game Boy Advance emulator based ultimately on gpSP 0.9 by Exophase. The project is currently in alpha. This build is a preview for your consideration. Some features are missing and will be coded later. You can also submit patches on GitHub.
Release notes:I have revalidated the optimisations, and it turns out I used the wrong register in some GCW-specific code. I have fixed this, resulting in ReGBA/GCW0 alpha 12. Up to 4% of performance has been restored.
Download: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...a-alpha-12.opk
Dingoo A320 users don’t need this; they can continue using alpha 10. Alphas 10, 11 and 12 will be byte-identical on the Dingoo A320.
The last commit that went into this build is commit dc526d2: “GCW Zero, mips/stub.S: Correct the MIPS32 R2 instructions. The instructions used the wrong register.”.

# Shipping and Availability of Units
A fulfillment company was approached to deal with shipments in order to speed up the delivery process. However, due to their unfitness in handling the task, we now severed ties with them and are back to shipping the units ourselves.
We are in the process of obtaining exact shipment details/numbers of the units handled by the fulfillment company and will inform you about the accurate number of devices shipped so far, when the details are available to us. We want to stress out that the delivery process has never stopped and the units continue to ship.
# Quick Start Guide
For all of you who have received the units, the development team prepared a Quick Start Guide that will help you go through the basic steps of GCW Zero usage. It is meant as an online equivalent of a printed manual, which we are unable to include in the box due to the constantly evolving nature of the device (software side of the project is under development and a lot changes with every new firmware update).
You can find the Quick Start Guide under the following location:
http://wiki.gcw-zero.com/Quick_Start_Guide
# Software Porting Guidelines
With an increasing number of people receiving units, we have already started to see third party software releases for the GCW Zero. Motivated by this, the development team prepared Software Porting Guidelines. This document dictates criteria required in order for a port to be accepted into our official repository.
You can take a look at it at the following link:

# Griffon Legend, A Retro Inspired Action RPG
The GCW Zero has received an exclusive reimplementation of "The Griffon Legend" (released in 2005) from FreeBasic to C by Dmitry Smagin.
The game, an action RPG, features an original storyline and is inspired by the 16-bit style RPGs of the SNES/GENESIS era. It was originally written by Daniel "Syn9" Kennedy in FreeBASIC, with sound by David Turner and was limited to a Windows release.
With the help of Dmitry Smagin the game is now featured on the GCW Zero for the first time ever. Griffon Legend can be freely downloaded from the GCW software repository and will be preinstalled on new units.

Release notes:
ReGBA alpha 11 is available.
Download: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...a-alpha-11.opk
This build contains a quick fix for Doom’s garbled graphics. As I suspected, MIPS32 R2 instructions are to blame. I disabled some of them (and will need to revalidate them before enabling them again later). The performance will be up to 4% less in any release from now on until the MIPS32 R2 instructions are validated, which will be unnoticeable in all games except Mario Golf and Tennis.
In this release, there is also a small change to the progress bar. The text is now inside the bar, and the background is TRS-80 blue.
The last commit that went into this build is commit fbc3d1a: “OpenDingux: Quick fix to disable most MIPS32 R2 instructions in the stub, but allow the SYNCI instruction.”.

Open Sonic is an open-source game based on the “Sonic the Hedgehog” universe. It introduces a different style of gameplay called cooperative play, in which it’s possible to control 3 characters simultaneously. Unlike most similar games, Open Sonic provides a greater level of interaction between the player and the levels. It’s more than just a jump’n'run; the user must come up with some strategy in order to get through the levels.
Ported to GCW Zero by d_smagin.

Solarus Engine v1.1, which is an open-source Zelda-like game engine has been ported by Shin-NiL to the GCW Zero. There are two games available to try; Mystery of Solarus DX, which was made to be a sequel to Link to the Past, and and Mystery of Solarus XD, a parody mini-game. Both the games are available at the official website. If you're a Zelda fan and own a Zero, be sure to check this out. Rest assured, if you don't have GCW0 yet, the games are playable on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Android. Also, if you're interested in creating your own adventure, be sure to check the Solarus wiki page.

The Nvidia Shield has been a solution in search of a problem, and this week the company began a justification campaign for the $300 device's existence with some interesting upgrades. This week the company announced Nvidia GameStream, due to launch on October 28, and the Shield "console mode."
A big selling point of the Shield to begin with was the ability to stream PC games to the device. That will leave beta on the 28th. Initially it will support local PC streaming for "more than 50 top PC games," but the long-term plan is to support Nvidia's Grid cloud gaming service.
Even more interesting is the "Shield Console Mode," which turns the device into a microconsole, similar to concepts like Ouya and PlayStation Vita TV. Attaching Shield to a TV via HDMI and then pairing it with a "Nyko PlayPad Pro Bluetooth controller," users can stream PC games, play Android games, browse the internets and "watch their favorite movies at native 1080p."
The Shield will offer $100 off beginning October 28 with free copies ofAssassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Batman: Arkham Origins. The company plans to share details on participating retailers soon.
