Newly released for Pandora
After Link's victory over Ganon (in "A Link to the Past"), no one knows what Link’s wish to the Triforce was. But this wish reunified the Light World and the Dark World and brought the 7 wise men’s descendants back to life. Peace was back in Hyrule. But unfortunately, this wish also ressurected Ganon and his henchmen. He was preparing his revenge, but he couldn’t do anything without the Triforce. One night, a familiar voice speaks to Link in his sleep…

Newly released for Pandora
GAV stands for GPL Arcade Volleyball, and is an SDL remake of the old dos game Arcade Volleyball for several platform (currently Linux, Windows, BeOS and Mac OS X are supported). So far it is playable already, but we are planning on introducing several extra features with respect to the original game, while still preserving its sheer addictiveness! So far we already added:
# themes support
# networking game
# more than 2 players games
# several configuration options
# Why AV?
It is fun. Play it for awhile: it is simple, fast, it just catches on. It's silly -- yes -- but try and play it with friends. It takes 5 seconds to figure out how to play, and the 'funky' physics somehow just appeals. You could see it as a 'party' game; say you're throwing a party, you'd have that sort of game in the middle of several drinks, projected on a large screen, to have people have fun, engage in tournaments and laugh all through the game. Just as you'd have with, say, pong. You wouldn't play Warcraft or Flight Simulator in those situations, or would you. Even for a nerds' party we're talking about.

As promised, Nokia and Intel have revealed the pre-alpha version of MeeGo for handsets today, supporting the Intel-powered Aava reference phone and the Nokia N900. What most interesting at this early stage is the UI, which appears to have taken a big Nokia-influenced step away from the Intel-designed MeeGo netbook and tablet UI -- and we're definitely detecting some hints of Android and webOS here and there. Seriously, just check out that task switching interface. Of course, MeeGo is open-source, so we're sure Nokia has some deeper UI customizations in store -- like homescreen widgets, which are notably missing here.
On a deeper level, this build of MeeGo includes the base MeeGo APIs, including Qt and the MeeGo touch frameworks, the Firefox-based browser, a photo viewer, and some basic UI elements like the status bar, app launcher, and virtual keyboard. There are pre-built images for the Atom-based Aava handsets available now, but N900 owners will have to do a little building until someone makes an image available. Be warned, though: there's a long enough list of known bugs, and while that's totally fine for pre-alpha code, it might not be too fine for your device. That's not going to stop us from installing this thing, but you be careful, alright? And let us know how it goes. Video of the UI after the break.
P.S. Given that the N8 is destined to be the last Symbian N Series device, we can't help but feel it's being overshadowed by MeeGo before it's even out. Can we pre-pour one out? Is that a thing? It is now.

The recently featured 36-hour port of the original Palm version of Lemmings to the iPhone and Palm Pre has received a cease and desist letter from Sony. Only one day after submitting the app for approval on the two app stores, the developer has put up a post stating that he 'did this as a tribute to the game — we can only hope that Sony actually does a conversion for platforms like iPhone and Palm Pre in the near future.' The text of the cease and desist letter is available from the developer's website."

The "Giana's Return" team updated their "The great Giana Sisters Sequel"
General changes:
- Extra credit screen to mention that we use Open-Source projects such as SDL, SDL_Mixer, libmodplug and zlib!
- Only tracked music remains in the game, the “OGG” solution has been dropped.
- Code is plain C now and should be even easier to port
- Plenty of “endian” fixes
- Various small fixes
- Modified “timings”
Thanks for the port as usual to Sir Pickle!

Aaron Ardiri challenged himself to port his classic PalmOS version of Lemmings to the iPhone, Palm Pre, Mac and Windows. The porting was done using his own dev environment, which creates native C versions of the game. He liveblogged the whole thing, and finished after only 36 hours with an iPhone version and a Palm Pre version awaiting submission, and free versions for Windows and Mac available on his site.

News/release from Hooka
Hey guys, just to let you know I did a little mucking around with Meritous today (read as I changed the code back to how it used to be and with hotfix 3 it worked perfect ) and I've got a glorious new beta for you...
You can get it here!
...and the source here!
Just changed to make the sounds all back to awesome, it's still underrunning the buffer slightly, BUT it isn't skipping or chugging as far as I could tell (if anybody experiences some chug, please let me know and I'll look into seeing if I can figure something out!)
Also fixed up the analog control a little bit as it was being a bit bitchy...

Newly released for Pandora
Shane's Chess Information Database (or Scid) is a popular free UNIX, Windows, Linux, and Mac database application for viewing and maintaining databases of chess games. Scid development has been resumed after it ceased in 2004. There is at least one other project making use of Scid code - ChessDB.
Scid supports portable game notation and its own Scid database format. It can be used with chess engines with support for Winboard such as Crafty and GNU chess, and with UCI such as Fruit, Rybka and Shredder to play chess against or to analyse games. Scid can use up to five piece endgame tablebases. Photographs of players may be stored in the database, so they are shown when a game is played.

Newly released for Pandora
Beats of Rage is a freeware open source video game and moddable game engine made by Senile Team and inspired by Sega's classic Streets of Rage series. The term "moddable" means that the program allows users to create their own content, and thus their own beat-'em-up game, which is then called a "mod".
The engine is customisable, and allows for new games to be built on it. These are distributed in a custom PAK format. The games developed for the Beats of Rage engine are commonly referred to as "mods", the creators are commonly referred to as "modders", and the engine itself is commonly referred to as "moddable".

Newly released for Pandora
Straight port of SDLMAME to the Pandora. Supports more scaling options than the regular MAME package but due to 100% software rendering this is slow. Even simple games may require overclocking to achieve full speed. Consider this an experimental release and DO NOT EXPECT GOOD PERFORMANCE.
Released according to MAME license (see licence.txt in package). Source/makefile patch is also included.
