Pickle who has to be the most active homebrew coder of the last year has again released a new game for the Pandora, heres the full sp:
Ken's Labyrinth
This was my first real dive into some opengles as a learning tool, and i think it really paid off. Thanks to CrowRiot /DarkBlu/Poke for the help
Description:
Ken's Labyrinth is a first-person shooter DOS game, released in 1993 by
Epic Megagames (now called Epic Games). It was mostly coded by Ken Silverman.
Ken's Labyrinth is graphically similar to id Software's Wolfenstein 3D in
that the levels were designed using a grid-based plane, resulting in
perpendicular walls and textureless floors and ceilings.
Arguably its most astounding feature was the existence of interactive sprites and textures, like slot machines.
Ken's Labyrinth was open sourced and ported to SDL and opengl. This version extends that opengl-ES.
How to Run:
Currently music is disabled, it does work but currently slows the game done too much.
Controls
dpad : move
A : shoot
B : strafe
X : open/use
Y : run
Todo/Issues
Music plays but slows the game down too much

Though it’s never likely to emerge as a games platform to rival the likes of iPad or the DS, Amazon has released two games that are compatible with its Kindle ereader device.
Shuffled Row and Every Word are both available to download for free right now. Both, unsurprisingly, are word puzzlers.
It will be interesting to see how far Amazon takes the device in the sector. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the likes of crossword and sudoku titles making an appearance, but could the retailer’s aspirations stretch even further?
Note, though, that according to Engadget the games only appear to be compatible with the second generation and DX variants of the Kindle and not the Kindle 1.

News via http://0xff.akop.org/2010/08/01/open...-1-2-released/
OpenSpark 1.2 is now out. This is an intermediate release, mainly fixing the re-authentication slowdown and avatar refreshes. New:
Considerably sped up browsing
Avatars auto-refresh every 48 hours; select ‘refresh’ to manually refresh
MS Point utility
The MS Point utility is a handy conversion chart for looking up MS Point exchange rates between various forms of currency.
This version is an intermediate release, based on 1.1; it does not include the features I’ve been discussing (services, widgets, etc…)

Newly released for Pandora
An Amiga Emulator.
Fullspeed with sound for A500 games!
Changelog 2010-08-01 (by john4p):
* Hires-mode is fixed now (again).
* Button (B ) is a shortcut to "more options" in main menu.
In mouse-mode (A) was "arrow right" and (B ) was "arrow left" - that's corrected now ((A)=left, (B )=right)
* In mouse-mode (=pinball-mode) dpad left and dpad right fired LALT every frame (in quasi autofire-mode) when pressed causing annoying sound in Pinball Dreams/Fantasies - that's fixed (LALT is now constantly pressed as long as you press dpad left or dpad right).
* Updated text in runme.sh-script (UAE core => FAME/C and "Mouse mode = Pinball mode").
* Mouse-pointer in Workbench was only half as wide as before and could only be moved in the left half of the screen.
Using the changes from smoku's commit "Removed misported sprite collision handling" fixed this again.
Also Pinball Fantasies' menu wasn't displayed correctly before (some gfx on the left were missing) which was also fixed by this.

News via http://www.openpandora.org/index.php...emid=2&lang=en
I have no idea whether any of you is interested in what I write right now - but well, if you are not, don't read up
This may not be the Pandora news you're all waiting for. But for me, it's an important event, so I thought it will fit in the devblog here as well.
I'm currently on a short vacation. Only for four days... but it's the first vacation I have since we started the whole project... and boy, this has been a loooong time.
And I guess I really needed it. I didn't think it was that bad, but it looks like I was totally exhausted.
There were so many things I wanted to do during the last few weeks: Finish up Hotfix 4, update the website with more information for developers, write blog posts about what's happening, do Tutorial videos, etc.
Every night I wanted to do it... but I couldn't. Either I just browsed the web because I really wasn't in the mood or I just fell asleep in front of my PC. I was totally out of strength and I was down - and I'm usually one of the guys who's almost always happy
I just spent a whole day in Mallorca at the beach - and I'm already feeling my strength coming back to me. I worked on more things for the Hotfix - directly on my Pandora, and I'm finally having fun again doing that!
I can feel how life is flowing back into me. A few more days, and I'm ready again! Ready to solder thousands of LCD cables. Ready to face all problems we may encounter!
I also learnt something else: There's more in life than a Pandora. A lot more. Yes, the nubs caused a bit of a delay and we don't know when production will finally speed up... so what?
The Pandora won't be a worse device because of that.
The board manufacturer as well as the nub company are working together to solve that issue. I'm sure they will find a fix - and once that's done... everything will should speed up!
I'd rather wait one or two weeks longer and have a proper solution, than shipping out as fast as we can and getting back tons of Pandoras because the nubs break.
Everyone who's desperately waiting for the Pandora now and starts to shout and cry because it takes a few weeks more: Get a break! It really helped me. And it helped Gruso (a long-term and nice member of gp32x.com), too.
It's really relaxing - and suddenly you realize: The Pandora really is a unique and cool device. And it will still be unique and cool when you get it. You can still play emulators and native games. You can still surf the web with FireFox or Chromium. It will still be open.
Well, so much for day one here directly from my hotel room.
Maybe I'll write some more tomorrow.
And when I'm back next Wednesday, I'm most probably back with full strength - doing all the things I wanted to do weeks ago. And give you more real updates about where the rest of the Pandoras are.
Last but not least, I took a little picture at the beach. Nothing special, but fans of classic games might smile a bit

Newly released for Pandora
Here are some icons and preview pics for use with Minimenu.
They come in this file as generic names, you need to rename to match the name of your PND.
Icons are named the same as the PND but with the PNG extension.
Example: Emu4all emulator file Emu4all.PND would have an icon file called Emu4all.PNG .
Preview pictures are the same name as the .PND but with _pvw#0.png after the appname. The #0 is the appnumber as some PNDs have more than one module. Most of the time it will be 0 though.
Example: Emu4all emulator file Emu4all.PND would have a preview picture file called Emu4all_pvw#0.PNG
There is also a .ovr file that can be used too. This allows you to tell Minimenu under which tab you want the app to show up, and add some notes in the preview window.
You can make a subdirectory to hold all of these files with the app.
Example you could put the Emu4all emulator in a Emu4all subdirectory with the Emu4all.PND, the Emu4all.ovr, Emu4all.png (icon picture), Emu4all_pvw#0.png (preview picture) together.
NOTE: not all PND files support preview pictures at the moment. If you put the pic in the same subdir and it doesn't show it is likely due to the developer not supporting it.
Icons do work always though. In a few instances .ovr files cause Minimenu to reset when the offending app is highlighted with the cursor. If this happens delete the .ovr file
(or rename it so if it is fixed in future you can name it back and use). This is also due to something the developer has done. Likely this will be fixed in the future.

CipSoft releases a new high resolution client for its mobile MMORPG called TibiaME. The new client supports all Symbian S60v5 operated devices.
“We already planned to create a new client in order to fully support devices with bigger screen resolutions,” explains Ben Zuckerer, product manager for TibiaME. “However in order to really make it look great on bigger screens, we decided to completely redraw all of our content as well.” In addition, the new client offers full touch screen support and can be used both in portrait and landscape mode.
Regardless of the installed client (Symbian S60v3, S60v5 or a java client) all players can still login to the same game worlds but only the S60v5 client sports the new high resolution look at the moment. However, the S60v3 will follow shortly so players with older devices are able to enjoy the overhauled graphics as well.
As already announced earlier this year, CipSoft is developing an iPhone client for TibiaME as well. The submission is planned for 1. September 2010. The iPhone client will be distributed for free in the AppStore.
About TibiaME
TibiaME is the first MMORPG for mobile phones worldwide. In the colourful real-time fantasy world of TibiaME, hundreds of players can set forth together in search of adventure. Playing as warriors or wizards, they are faced with the challenge of developing their skills, exploring a large variety of areas, unravelling secrets and interacting with each other on social and martial levels. TibiaME launches two major content updates and multiple smaller episodic updates per year. TibiaME is played by more than 50,000 active players worldwide

HP's Jon Rubinstein -- formerly of Palm CEO fame, of course -- just mentioned in an interview with Fortune that webOS 2.0 is on track for "later this year." Considering that 2010 is more than half over, that doesn't leave a whole heck of a lot of time -- but with a mix of presumed kick-ass HP hardware in the pipeline running webOS, we imagine this should all dovetail nicely. On a related note, Rubinstein again drove home the point that they're developing new hardware "aggressively," so let's hope we finally see a Pre 2, a Palmpad, or heck, a frickin' LifeDrive 2 in the next few months.

The GSM technology used by the majority of the world's mobile phones will get some scrutiny at next week's Black Hat security conference. An open source effort to develop GSM-cracking software has released software that cracks the A5/1 encryption algorithm used by some GSM networks. Called Kraken, this software uses new, very efficient, encryption cracking tables that allow it to break A5/1 encryption much faster than before.

Newly released for Pandora
Credit to Sience (http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-...%29-v20100330/) for most of the work
Running pretty well; for now there is now ASM CPU cores in place, so try overclocking to keep speed up where needed. This will be remedied soon.
Should run all games at full speed pretty easily.
Press SPACE to bring up the menu. (The menu lets you change scaling mode, display FPS, quit, and more to come.)
Build 003
---------
- better audio
- supports 7z archived roms
- stores SRAM to your appdata on SD instead of home directory in NAND
