Newly released for Pandora
This game recreates the engines of Boulder Dash, Emerald Mine, Supaplex and Sokoban, and does so faithfully enough to be able to replay the original games.
However, it doesn't stop there. The game evolved enough to be able to use elements from all 4 games at the same time, use of custom behaviour elements and all sort of trickery that can turn the game in something completely different.
Thanks to this customizability, the game has spawned hundreds and hundreds of custom levels. Highlights include Snakebite, R'n'D jue special collection or the Zelda adventures.
Also for the more purists, thousands of the original levels for the original Emerald Mine, Supaplex, Boulderdash and Sokoban are available, converting this game almost into an ultimate collection.
Check http://www.artsoft.org/rocksndiamonds/levels.html for more levels and drop them to the appdata/rocksndiamonds/.rocksndiamonds/levels folder.

Newly released for Pandora
This is a simple game where you have to guide a laser with the help of mirrors to destroy spheres (or cauldrons depending what game are you playing) while avoiding traps that overheat the laser, deflect the laser randomly and so on.
Think of Mindbender for the Amiga or Deflektor for the Commodore 64.
The game has a level creator.
The game is played with the touchscreen where with a tap you rotate the mirrors clockwise.
To rotate them counter clockwise, you have to press a shoulder buttons. This comes handy to avoid going through all the orientations as they are many.
The shoulder buttons are specific to the pandora, PC version doesn't have this.

A report by the AA has noted a sharp rise in accidents involving what it calls ‘iPod zombie pedestrians’ – pedestrians whose awareness is impaired while listening to an MP3 player.
According to the report, pedestrian lack of attention could have been a factor in 500 deaths or 26,887 casualties last year. Meanwhile, AA Insurance has also released figures claiming that inattention could be responsible for 17 collisions every day – an increase of five per cent over the course of the last year.
“We can't stop the march of technology but we need to halt the 'iPod pedestrian, cycle and driver zombies'. Whether on two feet, two wheels or four, too many people are suffering from so-called 'iPod oblivion',” said the AA’s president Edmund King.
“When on the move our brains have much to take in and using technological gadgets means that our brains can't always concentrate on so many things at once. This is when we walk into traffic, don't hear the truck or drive cocooned from the outside world.”

Newly released for Pandora:
Zelda Classic 2.11 B18 Pandora 0.1alpha
Zelda Classic on the Pandora!
Unnoficial port by Hitnrun, with permission from Dark Nation of Zelda Classic.
This is an alpha release, so it wasn't tested too much, test it and post your results on the forum.
This is currently unscaled (so it is small at 320x240), and has no music, but seems to be running very well.
Read the included README.Pandora.txt for a list of observations.

Newly released for Pandora:
Enigma is a puzzle game inspired by Oxyd on the Atari ST and Rock'n'Roll on the Amiga. The object of the game is to find uncover pairs of identically colored Oxyd stones. Simple? Yes. Easy? Certainly not! Hidden traps, vast mazes, laser beams, and, most of all, countless hairy puzzles usually block your direct way to the Oxyd stones.
Buttons
-------
Rolling: Mouse-Nub or touchscreen
Use inventory: X
Switch inventory left/right: A B
Speed+: Dpad right
Speed-: Dpad left
Pause: Y or ESC
Menu navigation: Dpad, Mouse-nubbing, Enter, Esc
Press F1 for an ingame help screen.
Changelog
---------
8.8.2010: 800x480 widescreen support. Now you can use the
black borders for touchscreen control and the menu
is widescreen now. Change resolution in options.
6.8.2010: Touchscreen now works as a control.
Took out mousebuttons for inventory because
it was interfering with touchscreen control.
You don't collect an item after you just dropped
it if you hold the X button.
Bugs:
Touchscreen control works but if you mix it with nubbing, the marble sometimes flicks around.
Sometimes, the marble flicks if you start/restart a level
If you hold X to drop an item and roll the marble around, it will drop and use more items as long as you hold X. It is because the X button (PGDown) works differently than the mousebuttons in SDL. Comment in the forums or here if I should iron this out. SDL event switch cascades are a nightmare .
Have fun

Speaking at the Techonomy conference, HP chief technology officer Shane Robison said that WebOS would power a range of HP products.
Having acquired struggling smartphone manufacturer Palm for $1.2b in April this year, HP has said little of what plans it has for the well-regarded compact operating system WebOS it now owns. According to a CNET report of comments made at the Techonomy conference, Robison confirmed that WebOS was destined for smartphones, slate and netbook computers.
However Robison also indicated that the company wasn't looking to kill off Windows-powered products. HP is the market leader in notebook computers with around 20 per cent market share. "We're not trying to wreck the market we've already got, it's a good one," said Robison.
While that's not perhaps surprising, Robin also pointed out that since most of the company's range of printers would be web connected and capable of printing without a host computer, WebOS will be used to provide a consistent interface.
The sheer scale of HP's IT and consumer electronics business looks set to give WebOS the boost it failed to achieve by being limited to smartphones under Palm's ownership.

Back with good news
Wednesday, 04 August 2010 17:05 EvilDragon I just came back from my vacation today - now I'm fuelled up again and ready to do more work. And, as promised, more news about what's happening!
Well, it seems I missed some good stuff - Craig got more than 100 boards and all nubs are working! He already built those units and shipped out most of them, so there will be more Pandoras out there in the wild.
When are the next boards coming? Shouldn't take too long. The board production company first wanted to ship us a small batch so we can test if we are okay with the nubs now (they don't want to desolder many more, I suppose).
We are okay with them! So production is finally starting up again
I also got the next LCD cable shipment so that I can solder the speakers to them.
Here's a picture of the box. There are four cables in each bag.
How many LCD cables do you think are in there?
LCD Cables in a...
Softwarewise, a few nice things have happened: UAE4ALL does now support Pinball Dreams and Fantasies (special graphics mode as well as a special Flipper-Button mapping) as well as HAM, Hires AND mouse via touchscreen! The pocketable Amiga is becoming better.
Also, GLBasic 8 Beta already supports the Pandora. Another easy coding language can now be used to create games and apps.
So... production starting again, nice software updates, and I'll continue to work on the Hotfix tonight. That's the kind of blog entries I like to make!
Hopefully ill get my hands on on a Pandora Soon.
